Photographer Jim Nickelson’s series “Adventures in Celestial Mechanics” captures each full moon of the year at moonrise. Each is unique in the image captured, the mood created – all exquisite depictions of these lunar events printed in limited editions.
As a student of aerospace engineering, Jim had a professor who would not give any homework on the night when the moon was full. “It is a full moon. You have more important things to do.”
Although Jim is no longer an aerospace engineer, he still has important things to do when the full moon rises.
We look forward to the photographs Jim created during the resent super moons.
