I grew up in rural southeastern Pennsylvania. Ever since my father gave me my first camera, all things photographic have fascinated me throughout my life. Taking pictures, working in a darkroom and collecting antique photographs were my passions. After receiving my BFA in photography, I realized I would need to choose another career path to provide adequate income for living and traveling. After moving to Maine, I started a business, which sustained me for more than twenty five years and also kept me completely away from photography.
Ten years ago I bought my first digital camera and later started taking courses at Maine Media Workshops where I studied the history of photography and learned about about all the early photographic processes.
Since then, I have continued to make photographs of the natural world that surrounds me.
