Gaylen Morgan
Gaylen Morgan has lived and worked in East Blue Hill, Maine and in Cambridge, Ma.
Her photography work has been shown in private and public collections and has been published in books and magazines. Light, skies, clouds and water, so visible in Maine, have inspired much of her work.
“I am attracted to light as it reflects and shapes perception and forms, and to the play of light and color. These are my subjects. In my work, I hope to convey a deep connectedness to all of creation. When I frame the image and push the shutter, it all comes together in one brief moment. However, getting from that first click to the final print can be fraught with many twists and turns. Failures are far more common than successes, though sometimes, that first moment does come back to life on paper”.
