Dave Wade
Dave Wade is a photographer who, before moving to Portland in 1997, spent over 12 years in Tokyo photographing for Forbes and various business and travel magazines.
Wade’s photos were selected to appear in the Portland Museum of Arts 2000 Biennial, and the Maine Coast Artists Photographing Maine exhibit in 2001. His photos have been exhibited internationally, and locally at various local galleries including Gallery At The Clown, Radiant Light Gallery, Susan Maasch Fine Arts, and the Addison Woolley Gallery.
His goal as a photographer is to “observe and make visible the slow, relentless passage of time, and to capture the mystery of the moment, or perhaps the ‘indecisive moment’, of what is about to happen or about to pass. I want my pictures to have a certain degree of ambiguity.”
